What’s the greater risk? Letting go of what people think, or letting go of how I feel, what I believe, and who I am?

I unashamedly love photography. So much so that you will rarely see me anywhere without my camera. While I know it’s silly, I do care a lot of what others think about me and I find myself hesitating posting too many photos on social media like Facebook and Instagram in case I am “spamming” their newsfeed.

This blog is about embracing the human experience, the good and the bad. My writing can use a bit of work, but photography seems to speak far more effectively than the 26 letters of the alphabet can for me. While it’s perfectly normal to care what others think, this blog is the first step for me to not let that fear of not belonging stop me from being and showing my true self.

The truth is, belonging starts with self-acceptance. Our level of belonging, in fact can never be greater than our level of self-acceptance. Because believing that you’re enough is what gives us the courage to be authentic, vulnerable and imperfect.
